Show What You Know!

In one short month my colleagues Mike Pearson, Kelsey Brennan and I will have the honor of doing just that at the #MassCUE17 conference at Gilette Stadium in Foxboro, MA.  Our former fifth graders will teach teachers how they can place history on My Map and we will host a presentation for teachers to share ways we have students go beyond their books in reading.  When I became MA Teacher of the Year, the late Commissioner of Education, Mitchell Chester, once told me that it was my obligation to give back to my profession.  That has been easy for me as a life-long champion of reading and technology.  You don’t have to be a Teacher of the Year.  Each teacher has something they can share with a colleague, even just one colleague.  If we all “show what we know” the possibilities for our collective professional growth are exponential.
